THIS IS NOT A MARTINI.

Photobucket

A French friend once told me a martini could only be called so if it consists of vodka or gin, and vermouth. Anything more than that, she said, is not a martini. As Margritte pointed out in the late 1920's, we would be lying if we called something that may not be, fact. This is a collection of my very own original creations.
Call them what you like.

Jallelujah

Vodka

Olive juice

Pickled jalapenos

Tuna stuffed olives

Black pepper

Skewer alternating olives and jalapeno slices on a large skewer to create the garnish. Set aside.

Mix the vodka, olive juice, and jalapeno juice in a shaker. Add a few fine grinds of fresh black pepper. If you aren’t grinding it fresh, this drink is fine sans pepper. Work it. Pour.

Just spicy enough to give you a kick in the face as you pour. Almost Wednesday, Jallelujah.
